St. Charles Hospital Appoints New Vice President, Human Resources
PORT JEFFERSON, NY – Rob Doodian has been named vice president, human resources at Catholic Health’s St. Charles Hospital. In his new role, Mr. Doodian will oversee the daily HR activities including employee and labor relations, employee engagement and performance management strategies. In addition, the position will ensure a culture that promotes a high level of employee experience and engagement through the effective delivery of HR services.
“We are very fortunate to have Mr. Doodian as part of St. Charles’ leadership team,” said St. Charles President James O’Connor. “Mr. Doodian’s extensive HR experience over the past 20 years, as well as his high level of business acumen, critical thinking and solutions focus will be an asset to St. Charles Hospital and its employees.”
Prior to joining Catholic Health, Mr. Doodian served as head of global HR for AMC Networks in Manhattan where he led all HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition and development, HR systems, compensation, benefits and internal communications. Before AMC Networks, Mr. Doodian served as senior vice president, HR, employee relations, talent acquisition and employee communications, as well as area director, corporate employee relations at Cablevision Systems Corporation (now Altice) in Bethpage. He also held leadership HR roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manhattan and the National Grid in Hicksville.
Mr. Doodian received a Bachelor of Science, Accounting at the Stern Business School at New York University and completed the HR Executive Suite Connection Program at the Harvard Business School. Additionally, Mr. Doodian received a certificate in Human Resources Studies from Cornell University.
He served as board chair of the T. Howard Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in the media industry. Under Mr. Doodian’s leadership, he expanded board representation from top entertainment and social media companies, increased board diversity and raised a record of more than $6 million over the course of four years.
