This manual therapy workshop will focus on the thoracic spine with an integrative approach to evaluation. This course is designed to provide clinicians with a brief overview of theory, rationale, and principles of thoracic spine. A review terminology and functional anatomy of the thoracic spine will be presented. Normal osteokinematic and arthrokinematic motion will also be discussed in detail. Components of a comprehensive thoracic spine examination will be demonstrated. Select treatment interventions incorporating mobilization, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), and thrust will be provided. This course is designed for clinicians working in an orthopedic manual therapy practice setting.
