The St. Charles Outpatient Rehabilitation Network offers premier speech therapy services geared towards ensuring a superior patient experience at a location close to home.
Three convenient, state of the art facilities are located across Long Island in order to make speech therapy easily accessible and available. Speech Therapy services are available for adults, teens and children.
Our team of professionals provides services for a wide range of neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson’s disease, and head and neck cancer. In addition, our expert clinicians have all received their certificate of clinical competency from ASHA- The American speech and Hearing Association. They hold specialty certifications and training in the areas of Vital Stim therapy, Passy Muir Valves, AAC devices and LSVT- Lee Silverman Voice Therapy. Our comprehensive Dysphagia diagnostic program includes modified barium swallow videoflouroscopy (MBSV) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing Sensory Testing (FEEST). Our wide range of Speech therapy services include speech and language therapy, dysphagia (swallowing) therapy, neuromuscular stimulation (Vital Stim) therapy, cognitive skills re-education, voice therapy, oral motor therapy, augmentative and alternative Communication training.
The speech therapy services offered at the Rehabilitation Networks are unique because we offer one on one as well as communication group therapy to ensure a comprehensive therapeutic approach. All patients will receive a thorough evaluation by a Speech Language Pathologist who will then develop a comprehensive treatment plan that is specific to the patient’s communication needs. The team will work with each patient to ensure they achieve an optimal outcome and prepare them for discharge by providing valuable education and training in self management and ongoing exercise programs.
Along with our highly trained Speech Language Pathologist, the support staff at St. Charles will make your visits a stress free experience. Early morning and evening appointments are available to meet the demands of a patient’s busy schedule.
