Auxiliary
St. Charles Hospital Auxiliary is a dynamic group of individuals committed to fund-raising, outreach and advocacy. On average, the Auxiliary raises more than $100,000 each year to support hospital projects. In 2006, St. Charles Hospital Auxiliary raised a total of $108,000. The Auxiliary Board votes on which projects to support. In the past, funding has gone toward radiology equipment, ambulatory surgery and the hospital's building campaign, among other initiatives.
Advocacy and outreach are other vital components of the Auxiliary's efforts. The group has consistently been recognized with an Auxiliary Advocacy Award presented by the Healthcare Association of New York State for projects including health fairs, blood drives, car seat and bicycle helmet programs as well as school-based infection control education programs for children.
