St. Charles Hospital to Offer Free Pediatric Dental Care on Friday, February 3

St. Charles Hospital will offer free dental screenings, cleanings and fluoride treatments during the hospital’s Give Kids a Smile celebration, Friday, February 3, 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. St. Charles Hospital’s event is celebrated in conjunction with the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile Day, a national campaign to promote good oral health in children who do not have access to dental care.

Patients will be seen by appointment only in the Stephen B. Gold Dental Clinic at St. Charles Hospital. Children ages two through 17 are eligible. Space is limited.  Make an appointment by calling (631) 474-6797.

The Stephen B. Gold Dental Clinic at St. Charles Hospital provides preventative and comprehensive dental care for the general population and underserved in eastern Suffolk County, including developmentally and physically disabled individuals. The clinic provides individuals with more than 6,000 patient visits per year. Ten percent of patients served are children while individuals with developmental and physical disabilities account for more than 50 percent of total patient volume. The Dental Clinic’s general practice residency program prepares post-doctoral dental students from schools across the North East with clinical, didactic and hospital experience.
