Muscular Dystrophy Care Center

The Muscular Dystrophy Care Center at St. Charles Hospital is the only MDA Care Center on Long Island dedicated to caring for both adults and children with Muscular Dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. Other nerve and muscle disorders treated at the Center include myopathies, inherited nerve disorders (charcot marie tooth), motor neuron disease (spinal muscular atrophy) and disorders of the neuromuscular junction (myasthenia gravis).

The MDA Care Center at St. Charles Hospital features a team of multidisciplinary physicians including specialists in both neurology and physiatry (rehabilitation physicians).
