Patients admitted to St. Charles enjoy customized, hotel-style room service where patients call and order what they’d like to eat, when they want it. In addition, a supply of snacks for patients is kept on the rehabilitation units.

Patients who have an extended stay at St. Charles may want a family member or care giver to bring in their favorite foods. While this is encouraged, St. Charles asks that it be discussed with the members of the patient's health care team prior to bringing in the food. If a patient is on a specialized diet due to swallowing difficulties, the speech-language pathologist should also be consulted to ensure that certain foods are safe. If a patient is on a medically prescribed diet, certain inappropriate foods can present a health concern.

The Terrace Cafe is located on the first floor, just off the lobby. The Cafe offers a variety of entrees, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts and snacks.The cafe is open 7 days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The grill is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The St. Charles Hospital employee cafeteria provides hospital staff and clinical professionals with a variety of hot and cold foods. The Cafeteria features an extensive salad bar and deli station, daily soups and hot entrees, and much more. The Cafeteria is open Monday thru Friday from 6:30a.m. to 2:00p.m and offers breakfast and lunch. After 2:00p.m., the Terrace Cafe offers specially priced dinner options for staff and clinical professionals.
